CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing communication scholarship, with a particular emphasis on media studies and digital media. Published by Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, the journal provides a platform for original research that advances theoretical understanding, empirical knowledge, and methodological approaches to contemporary media and communication phenomena.

The journal is accredited SINTA 3 by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia under Decree No. 105/E/KPT/2022, covering Vol. 9 No. 2 (2021) to Vol. 14 No. 1 (2026). The journal has print ISSN 2339-2681 and online ISSN 2621-2579. It is published twice a year, in April and October.

CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi welcomes original manuscripts that make substantial empirical, theoretical, and methodological contributions to communication scholarship, particularly in the fields of media studies and digital media. The journal provides a platform for research that critically examines media, communication practices, audiences, content, technologies, and their social and cultural implications. 

All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. Manuscripts are evaluated based on their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, theoretical engagement, methodological rigor, and contribution to media studies and digital media scholarship.

NEW ARTICLE TEMPLATE

Dear Authors,

CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi would like to inform all contributors that a new manuscript template has officially been implemented starting from Vol. 14 No. 1 (2026).

Authors who plan to submit manuscripts are required to use the latest template and follow the updated author guidelines available on the journal website. The new template has been developed to improve manuscript consistency, readability, and publication quality in accordance with the journal’s editorial standards.

Please ensure that your manuscript has been fully adjusted to the new format before submission. Manuscripts that do not follow the updated template may be returned for revision prior to the review process.

The updated template can be downloaded through the journal’s OJS page under the Author Guidelines or Template section.
