Accreditation
Article Processing Charge
CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 1,000,000 for each accepted manuscript. The APC supports the editorial and publication processes required to prepare accepted articles for publication.
The APC covers the following services:
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Registration of a DOI for the published article.
- Language Editing and Proofreading: Language checking and proofreading to improve the clarity, readability, and consistency of the manuscript.
- Layout and Typesetting: Formatting the accepted manuscript according to the journal's publication template and layout standards.
- Copyediting and Final Preparation: Editorial checks and preparation of the article for publication.
- Online Publication and Hosting: Publishing the final article on the journal's website and maintaining its online availability.
The APC is charged only after the journal accepts a manuscript for publication. Payment does not influence editorial decisions or guarantee acceptance.
Fast-Track Peer Review
CHANNEL offers a fast-track peer review service for authors with time-sensitive academic or professional needs, such as graduation requirements, research funding deadlines, or academic promotion.
Fast-track submissions undergo the same editorial screening, peer review standards, and publication ethics procedures as regular submissions. Requesting or paying for fast-track review does not guarantee acceptance or provide preferential treatment in editorial decisions.
Fast-Track Additional Fee
The fast-track service is subject to an additional fee of IDR 1,000,000, charged separately from the APC. The fast-track fee covers expedited editorial coordination and review processing, subject to editor and reviewer availability. The journal will communicate the applicable fee and payment instructions.
The fast-track fee is separate from the APC and does not replace it. If the manuscript is accepted, the author must pay the applicable APC in addition to the fast-track fee.
Availability and Processing Time
Fast-track review is available for a limited number of manuscripts, depending on editorial capacity and reviewer availability. The journal may decline a fast-track request if expedited processing cannot be accommodated.
Although the journal will make reasonable efforts to shorten the review timeline, the actual duration depends on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the revisions required. Fast-track processing will not compromise the quality, fairness, or integrity of peer review.
