Manuscripts Withdrawal

CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi discourages withdrawing submitted manuscripts once the editorial process has begun. Manuscript submission requires time and resources from the editorial team, peer reviewers, and publisher. Authors are therefore expected to carefully consider their submissions before submitting a manuscript to the journal.

Withdrawal Before Editorial Processing
Authors may withdraw their manuscripts free of charge if the manuscripts have not yet been processed by the editor. Authors must submit a formal withdrawal request to the editorial office. Once editorial processing has commenced, the withdrawal conditions and fees outlined below will apply.

Withdrawal During Peer Review
If an author requests withdrawal while the manuscript is undergoing peer review, a withdrawal fee of IDR 400,000 per manuscript will apply to compensate for the administrative and editorial resources already expended. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing, stating the reasons for withdrawal, and are subject to approval by the editorial team.

Withdrawal After Acceptance
If an author requests withdrawal after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication, a withdrawal fee of IDR 2,000,000 per manuscript will apply to cover the editorial, administrative, and production resources invested in the publication process. The withdrawal will be finalized once the request is approved and the applicable fee is paid.

Ethical Considerations
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to another journal while it is under consideration by CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi. Withdrawing a manuscript after it has been accepted by another journal, following simultaneous submission, breaches publication ethics.

CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi reserves the right to take appropriate action in cases of withdrawal-related misconduct in accordance with its publication ethics policies and applicable guidelines. Any action taken will be proportionate to the circumstances and follow appropriate editorial procedures.
