Vol. 13 No. 2 (2025): CHANNEL: Jurnal Komunikasi 27th Edition
This edition brings together communication scholars from Indonesia and China, presenting research on diverse contemporary communication issues. The articles explore agenda-setting dynamics during crises, Muslim travellers’ perceptions of non-Muslim cultural destinations and halal culinary tourism, fan labour and community management in K-pop fandom, electronic word-of-mouth as a digital marketing strategy, and social media's role in promoting digital literacy and strengthening national unity. Other contributions examine public discourse and cyber controversies surrounding the #Bjorka phenomenon on Twitter (X), the relationship between humorous content and media credibility on Instagram, and ethical principles in Islamic marketing communication. Together, these studies show the growing scope of communication research in addressing digital culture, audience engagement, political discourse, tourism, and strategic marketing in contemporary society.
