Use of Gen-AI Policy

Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Authors submitting manuscripts to Bahastra are required to disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted tools during the manuscript writing process at the time of submission. This policy applies specifically to the preparation of the manuscript text and does not include the use of AI tools for data analysis, data processing, or generating research insights.

Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies may only be used for the purpose of improving language quality, readability, and clarity of the manuscript. Any use of such tools must be conducted under direct human supervision. Authors are responsible for carefully reviewing, revising, and validating all AI-assisted content, as these technologies may produce outputs that are inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or biased. Full responsibility for the content, originality, accuracy, and ethical integrity of the manuscript remains with the authors.

AI tools or AI-assisted technologies must not be listed or cited as authors or co-authors, as authorship entails intellectual responsibility, accountability, and scholarly contribution that can only be fulfilled by human researchers.

If generative AI or AI-assisted tools are used during the writing process, authors must include a clear and explicit disclosure statement at the end of the manuscript at the time of initial submission.

The Bahastra editorial team continuously monitors developments in artificial intelligence technologies and reserves the right to revise or update this policy in accordance with evolving ethical standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
