Author Guidelines
Papers are invited from anywhere in the world, and so authors are asked to ensure that sufficient context is provided for all readers to appreciate their contribution.
Types of papers
The types of papers that may be considered for inclusion in the original research paper,
- The author(s) must use the IJCE guide (download) as a template.
- IJCE accepts scientific articles with the following requirements: The article is original and should be written in good English typed in 11 Times New Roman, and a single space.
- It is a result of scientific research, an implementation of theories, a discussion of current issues, or an analytical and critical study of linguistics, English literature, or English language teaching and learning.
- It has never published in any other publication.
- The title should be informative and brief with an abstract of 150-300 words in length and keywords.
- The article should completely consist of: a title, writer's name and institution, email, abstract with keywords, introduction, research method, findings and discussion, conclusion, references, and attachment(s) if necessary.
- Quotations should be included in the body of text except for ones that exceed 5 lines in length. These should be typed in single space, 10 character indention, center position with no quotation marks.
- More detailed information on the writing style and the referencing system is provided in the template.
- The author(s) should ensure that the manuscripts have passed through professional proofreaders to guarantee the absence of grammatical issues.
Please note that any papers which fail to meet our requirements will be returned to the author for amendment. Only manuscripts that are submitted in the correct style will be considered by the Editors.
- Abstract
This is an author guidelines and article template of the Journal of Chemical Engineering (IJCE). The article should be started by Title of Article followed by Authors Name and Affiliation Address and abstract. This abstract section should be typed in a font size of 10 pt and the number of words of 150-300. English abstract should be written in italic. The single spacing should be used between lines in this article. The abstract should be typed in English. The abstract should be typed as concisely as possible and should be composed of: a problem statement, method, scientific finding results, and a short conclusion.
b. Introduction
The introduction could be written in a good and grammatically checked English (can be US or UK English but not a combination of both) or could be written in Bahasa Indonesia. Please use Times New Roman of 11 pt font size [1]. The author must provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey, or a summary of the results [2]. In the last paragraph, the author must state the objectives of the work clearly [3]. References must be cited in e.g. [4], in which applying the reference manager is recommended.
b. Research Methodology
Write the method in detail. If necessary, narrate the process step by step. Specify how the sampling technique, the data collecting procedure, the instrument development, the data analysis and the ethical procedure. Provide also the evidence of the ethical documents.
c. Results and Discussion.
Explore the findings in detail and explain as clearly as possible. Analyze all the findings and relate them to the settings of the study. Discussion can be presented in a separate section or put together under the section of Result and Discussion. In the Discussion section, discuss the findings and relate them with the supporting theories as presented in the Introduction section. Compare the present findings with the findings of the previous studies reviewed in the Introduction section.
d. Conclusion
Concisely conclude this study and avoid any repetition as presented in the previous sections. Write the conclusion in one paragraph (if possible).

- Use a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting, and choose the IEEE style.

- The author(s) should ensure that the manuscripts have passed through professional proofreaders to guarantee the absence of grammatical issues.
