Abstract

The Kurikulum Merdeka brings a major shift to character education in Indonesia by encouraging the integration of Pancasila values with digital learning. This study aims to explore how teachers in three Jakarta elementary schools interpret and apply Pancasila values through various digital-based learning activities. Using a qualitative multiple-case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings show three different patterns of practice. Elementary School I promotes participatory creativity through the creation of digital cultural content, Elementary School II emphasizes responsible use of digital media for strengthening nationalism, and Elementary School III develops critical civic engagement through interactive and bilingual learning. Although all schools integrate digital tools into their teaching, the depth of Pancasila value internalization depends on how teachers connect technology with moral understanding and national identity. The study concludes that teacher creativity, digital competence, and context-based pedagogy are essential in supporting the Kurikulum Merdeka’s goal to build responsible and reflective young citizens.
