Abstract

The purpose of writing this paper is to explore the values ​​of local wisdom as a powerful solution for dealing with various multidimensional problems in national and state life through education. The content of this scientific work is presented theoretically based on data from the results of literature studies. Education is the biggest investment to create intelligent people who are able to deal with all problems well in this era of globalization. To face various global challenges, it is hoped that every Indonesian man will not fall asleep with negative impacts such as immoral actions, but still adhere to the national identity and personality. One of the local wisdoms that contains various moral values ​​and contains deep meaning regarding national identity and personality is the values ​​of local wisdom contained in various works of the classic Javanese character Ronggowarsito. The values ​​contained in various texts by Ronggowarsito are very appropriate as a foundation for learning about morals, responsibilities, character and personality to create good human beings. In practice, the values of local wisdom in various texts created by Ronggowarsito need to be implemented in formal education, through curricular programs especially in the subject of Citizenship Education.
