Behavior related to ethics reflects the knowledge possessed by a person in determining good and bad things. The development of society, especially Malay is very important to be able to understand the ethical mindset. The Malay community views ethics as a very important thing to consider in showing the identity of customs against the rules of tradition and the surrounding environment. Malay ethics can be found in some of the Malay poems that generally develop in the region of the Sumatera community such as the Nasib Melayu’s poem. A poem is defined as a literary work that has meaning and is poetic in nature. Poem is an old form of literary work that has existed since the emergence of Islamic civilization in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the Malay ethics in Nasib Melayu’s poem contained in the book entitled Kitab Syair, Sejarah, Konsep, dan Contohnya according to Raja Ali Haji's view. This research uses a type of qualitative research that focuses on descriptive. The data collection method uses observation methods with reading and recording techniques. Data analysis in this research uses Paul Ricoeur's Hermeneutics study. The results showed that Malay ethics in Nasib Melayu’s poem contained four ethical elements, namely the morality of the ruler, obedience to sharia, language, and moral environment. Thus, it can be concluded that Nasib Melayu’s poem contains Malay ethics based on Raja Ali Haji's view.
Frida Nurhidayah Yosi Wulandari Copyright (c) 2024 Frida, Yosi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-29 2024-04-29 44 1 1 15 10.26555/bs.v44i1.631 The effectiveness of mobile-based teaching materials for academic writing in hybrid learning on students’ academic writing ability http://journal1.uad.ac.id/index.php/BAHASTRA/article/view/635
Mobile-based teaching materials for academic writing are flexible to be implemented in various learning models. This study explores the content of the novel Sitti Nurbaya, a prominent publication from Balai Pustaka, using a postcolonial approach and Gramsci's theory of cultural hegemony as analytical tools. The findings reveal that Sitti Nurbaya contains elements of progressive politics through the Belasting riots, intense religious sentiment in defense of Adat teachings, and characters with flawed morals. Consequently, it is concluded that Sitti Nurbaya managed to circumvent Balai Pustaka's censorship and functioned as an organic intellectual, sparking anti-colonial awareness.
Muhammad Adek Nesa Riska Pangesti Siska Miga Dewi It Fernando Putra Copyright (c) 2024 Muhammad Adek, Nesa Riska Pangesti, Siska Miga Dewi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-29 2024-04-29 44 1 62 78 10.26555/bs.v44i1.591 Indonesian Language Learning Curriculum for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) based on moderation at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta http://journal1.uad.ac.id/index.php/BAHASTRA/article/view/662
This research aims to describe the Moderation-Based BIPA Curriculum of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This study is grounded in the growing public apprehension surrounding the influx of Rohingya immigrants, which has been steadily rising over time. The current population of Rohingya immigrants in Indonesia is 1,600, since their initial arrival in Aceh in 2009. This instigates social and economic strife, in which the state of prosperity for the Acehnese population remains incomplete. The data source for this research is 500 comments from Instagram users on five posts on multiple Instagram media profiles. The research data was acquired in December 2023 and subsequently examined using a qualitative descriptive methodology. According to the study's findings, the most common form of rejection was one that used suggestions or other alternatives. It indicates that the individuals in Aceh exhibit a high degree of empathy; however, due to various conditions, they suggest alternative resolutions. Meanwhile, the most minimal form is rejection accompanied by gratitude. These findings demonstrate that Instagram users consider it unnecessary to use courteous language and consider it acceptable to reject Rohingya immigrants. This research also indicated that technological innovations have contributed to the advent of forms of language rejection. We have discovered novel types of rejection discourse, specifically employing symbols or emoticons, utilizing metaphors, and employing hashtags to exert influence over fellow Instagram users.
Rahmad Nuthihar Ramli Ramli Herman Rusli Ixsir Eliya Sumaiyah Menjamin Copyright (c) 2024 Rahmad Nuthihar, Ramli Ramli, Herman Rusli, Ixsir Eliya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-04-29 2024-04-29 44 1 123 142 10.26555/bs.v44i1.701 Development of picture story learning media based on the Buayo Kuning Folklore assisted by augmented reality technology in regional literature courses http://journal1.uad.ac.id/index.php/BAHASTRA/article/view/630
This development research aims to produce a product in the form of a picture story using augmented reality technology based on Bengkulu folklore with a focus on the Buayo Kuning folklore.
